Free Comic Book Day is at Hand Jacksonville!!!

Yes folks it’s that time of year again! Ready your sun block, check your comic list, warn your significant other, and drag along the kids! For those of you that are already pacing your home we have a countdown ticker on left side of the page for you… so obsess away my friend. :-)

This year’s event stands to be the biggest one we’ve ever set out to do! There will be more back issues than ever ranging from only 25 cents to 99 cents. We have Wuz Dead bringing in a couple of Zombies for educational/survival training (while it’s okay to poke fun don’t get too close). We will have two very large air walk bouncies one will be Spider-Man and one will be Bat Man. We will be accepting donations for all the activities of which the proceeds will be going to the Shriner’s Children Burn Hospital.

This Free Comic Book Day 2010 also marks the first year that we will be graced by the local 501st Legion! That’s right all kinds of different Star Wars characters will be on hand for pictures.

This year we’ll also have free game demos for Warhammer, Warhammer 40K, Battle Fleet Gothic, Uncharted Seas, Hero-Clix, Warmachine, Hordes, Arkum Asylum Board Game, Formula De Board Game, and many more. All those attending free game demos this year will receive brand new off the assembly line Sun Coast Comics custom gaming dice!!! Those attending the Hero-Clix demos will also be receiving a free “WAR MACHINE” figure from the up and coming Iron-Man 2 movie!

Let’s not forget that Sun Coast Comics Free Comic Book Day Raffle has become somewhat of a legend around these parts. Well, this year will be no exception with more prizes than ever! Tickets are available now so don’t miss out stop by YOUR store today!

Finally, there will be some huge announcements at this year’s Free Comic Book Day. You do not want to miss these announcements which, will be made at the stroke of 12 noon. SUN COAST COMIC’S FIRST EVER GUNDAM PARTY!!!

In honor of our new gundam selection we are hosting the first of many Gundam Parties!!! This event will take place on Sunday, April 13th starting at 1:00PM. It will end whenever you want it to! Here’s how is works:

Show up and purchase any model kit in the store (that’s right it doesn’t even have to be a gundam, we have tons of mechs to choose from) and we’re going to upcharge you by only $5.00! With that being said, we provide tools, gundam markers, pizza, and gundam anime!!! We’re going to sit around all day eating pizza, building gundams, shooting the breeze, and watching the gundam legacy unfold on a 50″ Plasma TV!

We would like for everyone to R.S.V.P. as soon as possible so we know how many tools, cutting, mats, and pizzas we’re going to have to provide. If you don’t know until the last minute no worries you’re still welcome! Bring your friends and show them just how amazing gundam models can be. As a matter of fact we’ll even add this, whoever brings the most friends (who purchase a model and participate) will receive FREE admission, FREE pizza, and a FREE set of GUNDAM MARKERS (which are very difficult to come by)!!!

Most ages are welcome. This is probably not the type of event for children under the age of 10. Parental attendance is required for children under the age of 13. Parents be advised in order to assemble these kits your children will be using very sharp hobby tools.
