Gundams break through at ShadoCon 2010!

If you missed the first ShadoCon you missed out! With all the anime, manga, gundams, cosplay in one location it was an event to remember. We will definitely be back!

Sun Coast Comics attended the first annual ShadoCon in Tampa, Florida November 5-7. It was great meeting all the diehard gundam and mech enthusiasts that are still out there. ShadoCon is co-hosted by the folks that operate the ever popular MetroCon. With that being said, Sun Coast Comics has already reserved booth space for next year’s ShadoCon! To all those we met there, stay in touch as you guys and gals received a sneak peek at some HUGE Gundam related news!

As you may already know, our friends at War Dogs Game Center closed their doors this week. For many years, they supported the local game and comic community. They will be missed.

While we will miss War Dogs, I want to take this opportunity to let you know Sun Coast Comics is looking forward to meeting the War Dogs crowd. We offer Warhammer 40k & Fantasy, Arcane Legions, War Machine & Hordes, Battle Fleet Gothic, D & D and many of the other games you have grown to love.

Free Comic Book Day is at Hand Jacksonville!!!

Yes folks it’s that time of year again! Ready your sun block, check your comic list, warn your significant other, and drag along the kids! For those of you that are already pacing your home we have a countdown ticker on left side of the page for you… so obsess away my friend.

This year’s event stands to be the biggest one we’ve ever set out to do! There will be more back issues than ever ranging from only 25 cents to 99 cents. We have Wuz Dead bringing in a couple of Zombies for educational/survival training (while it’s okay to poke fun don’t get too close). We will have two very large air walk bouncies one will be Spider-Man and one will be Bat Man. We will be accepting donations for all the activities of which the proceeds will be going to the Shriner’s Children Burn Hospital.

This Free Comic Book Day 2010 also marks the first year that we will be graced by the local 501st Legion! That’s right all kinds of different Star Wars characters will be on hand for pictures.

This year we’ll also have free game demos for Warhammer, Warhammer 40K, Battle Fleet Gothic, Uncharted Seas, Hero-Clix, Warmachine, Hordes, Arkum Asylum Board Game, Formula De Board Game, and many more. All those attending free game demos this year will receive brand new off the assembly line Sun Coast Comics custom gaming dice!!! Those attending the Hero-Clix demos will also be receiving a free “WAR MACHINE” figure from the up and coming Iron-Man 2 movie!

Let’s not forget that Sun Coast Comics Free Comic Book Day Raffle has become somewhat of a legend around these parts. Well, this year will be no exception with more prizes than ever! Tickets are available now so don’t miss out stop by YOUR store today!

Finally, there will be some huge announcements at this year’s Free Comic Book Day. You do not want to miss these announcements which, will be made at the stroke of 12 noon.
